Egmont Key
As a refuge for wildlife, the Tampa Bay island known as Egmont Key is home to gopher tortoises and myriad seabirds. As a refuge for visitors, Egmont Key State Park is a state park rich in history. It can be visited by private boat or public ferry, making it a favorite destination for water-borne visitors, including class groups working on school projects. Harbour Island/Davis Islands
Today, the island consists of mostly private residential areas, including high-rise condos, apartments, row houses, single-family homes and large houses, as well as a yacht club. The island has a Westin hotel, Jackson's Bistro Bar & Sushi restaurant spanning 20,000 square feet boasting special event space, Sunday Brunch, waterfront dining, and a Friday and Saturday nightclub; as well as a Pizza and Sushi Shop that delivers. Located in the center of the island there are small shops; a Coffee Shop that specializes in fresh ingredients for breakfast & lunch, and local hotspot Cafe Dufrain focusing on seasonal cuisine & seafood with waterfront dining. The TECO Streetcar "In-Town" trolley connects the island to Downtown and Channelside. NEVs also connect the island to other core neighborhoods such as Hyde Park.

Beer Can Island
If you do not want to travel far but would love a peaceful day on a sand beach island, beer can island is the perfect getaway. Just a few short miles from you pick up location at Bahia beach you will be at a beautiful island with white sand beaches. Have a picnic lunch, swim in the gulf, or look for sharks teeth on the shore line.
Visit the Manatees
Enjoy viewing the Manatees in Apollo Beach. Manatees come to visit the warm water discharge from Teco's power plant. Anchor up the boat and watch them come to the boat for a belly rub. Mid November to March
John's Pass at Madeira Beach

Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County’s #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Plenty of parking: There is metered on-street parking located conveniently throughout the Village, as well as a new state-of-the-art multi-level parking garage adjacent to Bubba Gumps and Hubbards Marina. The beach is a short stroll away. Conveniently located near St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Tampa, and just a short drive to the Orlando area. Open daily!
Sunshine Skyway bridge
One of the biggest cable bridges in the USA, pre-stressed concrete, cable-stayed bridge. It is 1.1 miles in length x 94' wide x 430' high. The clearance for ships is 180.5. The old Bridge collapsed in 1980 when a ship hit one of the up rights. The new one was finished in 1987 with a toll of $1.25 for passenger cars the bridge see over 50,500 car and trucks a day. I think it is one of the prettiest bridges day or nite.
The bridge connects Pinellas County, Florida to Manatee County, Florida using US 19 or I-275 north and south bound. It is one of the Top 10 bridges in the world. It's something to see and experience by boat. Also very good fishing at the base
Tampa Bay's abundant wildlife
Tampa Bay is rich in wildlife. It is very common to see bottlenose dolphin jumping just like the picture to the left. You will commonly see Pelicans, Blue heron, Flamingos, Osprey, ducks.. the list is endless. Just spending a day on the water to watch the wildlife or fish can be the escape you need.
Anna Maria Island
Anna Maria island is a barrier island to Bradenton. Considered the prettiest beach in the Nation. It has beautiful soft white sand and bahamian blue waters. Dock the boat on the beach for a picnic or head to over to several of the restaurants that offer boat access.
